Morning light breaks through the window
He takes a breath, starts the day again
With one hand on the wheel, the other blocks the glare
Heading off to work, the weight is always there.
Rolling down this road, time slips by,
Shade pulled low for the morning sky.
And in the evening when the sun says good night,
The same old shade is blocking the light
The hours fade the world keeps turning
Sweet and effort dreams still b*****g
Driving home past fields gold
The shade comes down like stories told
Its rhythm it’s a dance
Of moving forward taking a chance
Through the sunrise through the dusk
It’s work, it’s love, it’s all of us.
Rolling down this road time slips by
Shade pulled low for the morning sky
Coming home to the same old view the day is gone but the meaning’s new
