Another sunrise, another headline, another hollow rest in peace option 1

Another sunrise, another headline, another hollow "rest in peace" A tragedy on repeat, but the cycle never seems to cease. We’re disputing the facts while the sirens are hooting, Another day, another state, another campus shooting. Kids packing backpacks, but they ain’t coming back home, We’re at an all-time low, chilling us down to the bone. The news cycle turns, and the world just moves on, But how many more till we realize the soul is gone?
It’s gotta be love... yeah, it has to be love. The only weapon that hits back is the love from above. Yeah, it’s gotta be love...
Let’s talk about the weapons, mass destruction in the streets, Mixing w*r-zone hardware with the lockers and the sheets. The three R's are cool, but where’s the mental foundation? We’re neglecting the mind and failing the whole generation. Can’t build a future or accumulate wealth, If the students are breaking and lacking that mental health. It’s time to educate the heart, not just the brain, Before we lose another child to the sorrow and the pain.
It’s gotta be love... yeah, it has to be love. The only weapon that hits back is the love from above.
We’re begging for peace, looking to the Hill for a sign, But the government is silent, bought and sold on the line. Malfeasance in the lobby, special interests in the vault, While they tell us that the "silence" isn't actually their fault. Now they want to arm the teachers? Put a glock in the desk? Sounds like NRA math—more profit, more grotesque. Yo, they want more dough to collect while the families weep, Selling fear in the daylight while the justice is asleep.
Time for empathy and tolerance, build a bridge, not a wall, Harmony in the hallways so the children can stand tall. Use your intellect for conflict, put the iron away, No more b***d on the linoleum, no more "not today." Our kids are the treasure, this madness is ludicrous, Let’s heal the spirit before the darkness consumes us.
