Just Emptiness

5/15/2025Aria v1
The chambers of my heart, a desolate scene, A barren landscape, stark and lean. No vibrant bloom, no verdant green, Just emptiness, a silent queen. A hollow echo, a mournful sigh, Reflects the tears I cannot cry. The sun's bright rays, a cruel display, Upon this wasteland, cold and gray. The laughter of the world, a distant sound, A mocking melody, all around. While in this void, I stand alone, A silent figure, overthrown. The memories linger, ghosts of the past, Like shadows dancing, holding fast. Each precious moment, now a sting, A bitter song, the heart won't sing. I reach for solace, grasp for light, But find instead, unending night. A chilling wind, a constant dread, A heavy burden, in my head. The world keeps turning, unaware, Of the silent sorrow I bear. A lonely journey, long and steep, Through valleys deep, where shadows creep. I search for meaning, seek a clue, But find only emptiness, anew. A vacant stare, a hollow gaze, Lost in the labyrinthine maze. The days unfold, a somber thread, A tapestry of sorrow, spread. Each passing hour, a heavy toll, Upon this weary, broken soul. I crave connection, a gentle hand, To lead me forth, to understand. But find instead, a chilling space, A vacant smile, upon my face. The whispered words, once sweet and low, Now echo faintly, soft and slow. A phantom touch, a fading trace, Of love's embrace, in this empty place. Yet even here, in deepest gloom, A tiny spark begins to bloom. A fragile hope, a whispered prayer, To rise above, beyond despair. To mend the cracks, to heal the pain, To find my way, through sun and rain. To fill this void, with love's embrace, And find my peace, in time and space. Though scars remain, a constant plea, For healing hearts, for you and me. This empty space, will find its worth, A testament to strength, and rebirth.
