On the Oregon Trail, we're burdened with dreams. Carrying the weight, it's harder than it seems. Graffiti on the rocks, each mark holds a tale, Searching for a place, yet feeling so frail. Wagon wheels rust, echoes of those who came, Chasing distant horizons, but it always feels the same. Ooh, through the struggle, we roam, In this land of promise, but still feeling alone. Ooh, with hope in our hearts, we're brave and bold, In the shadows of mountains, our stories unfold. Forty-niners rushing, gold slips through our hands, Riding through the river, chasing sinking sands. Digging with our shovels, but we still can’t see, Years of searching, feels like we’re lost at sea. Each dream feels heavy, every choice weighs down, We came for glory, but we're swallowed by this town. Ooh, through the struggle, we roam, In this land of promise, but still feeling alone. Ooh, with hope in our hearts, we're brave and bold, In the shadows of mountains, our stories unfold. Just bought Louisiana, doubling our size, so now we rise and make some allies. Yet we won the w*r, now all we want is more land, so we went to California and panned for gold, both the young and the old. Ooh, through the struggle, we roam, In this land of promise, but still feeling alone. Ooh, with hope in our hearts, we're brave and bold, In the shadows of mountains, our stories unfold. Worn-out paths where the past lingers close, Every turning point shows what we fear the most. Yet we rise from the ashes, together we f***t, In the depths of our trials, we search for the light.
