Our Happy School Day

[Intro] [Verse 1] The morning sun is shining bright, We wake up with the morning light. We wash our face and eat our toast, Ready for the day we love the most! Grab our books and bags so neat, Tie the laces on our feet. Wave goodbye, "Off we go!" To the school we love and know! [Verse 2] Walking, riding, bus comes soon, We'll be humming a happy tune. See the building tall and bright, Filled with colors, pure delight! Friends are waiting by the door, Ready to learn and play and explore. "Good morning!" is the cheerful sound, As we gather on school ground. [Verse 3] In our classroom, desks in rows, Where everybody learns and grows. We read our books and write our names, Play fun counting games. Singing songs and learning rules, Painting pictures, being cool! ABCs and 123s, Listen please, and learn with ease! [Verse 4] Our school has windows, big and wide, With a playground slide outside! Lunchtime comes, we sit and munch, Sandwiches and fruit for lunch. Then we run and jump and shout, Playing games as we run about! Teachers smile and help us play, Making sunshine every day! [Verse 5] The bell rings loud, "Ding-dong-ding!" Packing up is the next thing. Zip the bag and line up straight, Can't be late to meet our mate! Back we walk or ride the bus, Homeward bound without a fuss.
