Now I’ve got a story that I’d like to tell, About a guy you know all so well. I stayed up all night just to meet this man, 56 long years, still never shook his hand. So I did my research far and wide, Tryin’ to find one soul who’s met this guy. Kinda felt like I was layin’ a trap, Cookies and milk and some presents in a sack. So I jumped on the internet like some kind of hacker, Went straight to the screen with my Santa tracker. Sittin’ here late at night, it’s feelin’ kinda eerie, So I grab me some eggnog, tryin’ to think a bit clearer. Then out of nowhere came a noise on the roof, Lord, it had to be a reindeer’s hoof. Panic set in, I didn’t know how to act, So I hid like a kid behind the present sack. I peeked out slow, but the room was bare, Only half a cookie sittin’ there. That’s when I realized, oh not again, I ran outside in a tailspin. I slipped on the ice, yeah I banged my head, That’s when I saw this guy in red. He reached out his hand, real calm and slow, Helped me up off the cold white snow. Didn’t ask his name, didn’t need to know, Some things you just believe and let go.
