Blue Water Blues

I wandered down by the shoreline where the moon was hangin’ low, saw the silver ripples shimmer and a creature start to glow. She moved like liquid silver, soft as twilight on the sea, and when she turned those eyes toward me, the tide pulled endlessly. Vaporeon, sweet water child, driftin’ wild and free, you can slip through mist and moonlight, but you still belong to the deep. I tossed my ball out on the water, but she vanished in a sigh, left me starin’ at the surface where her memory floats by. You can’t own the ocean, baby — she just said it with her eyes, and the waves kept hummin’ softly, singin’ low beneath the skies. Now I sit down by that river with my rod and my regrets, watchin’ ripples draw her outline in the place where sun and water met. If she ever drifts back to me, I’ll know love can’t be confined, ‘cause the sea don’t keep its treasures, it just borrows from your mind. Vaporeon, blue and true, every wave still hums your tune, and I’ve got those blue water blues under this lonely moon.
