My rant about school

School is probably one of the worst things to freaking exist like the things about american public schools are upsetting in the worst way possible like the food *cough* * cough* Sodexo huh, who said that must have been the wind. The favoritism, if you do that, you know who you are. And the annoying last 10-minute 50-page packet we are expected to do. And last but not least, we don't have enough time on weekends. like the school districts of the USA suck and in this rant essay will say about how terrible american schools are. School sucks overall because of the loads of work we receive and there's the expectation of getting a 20-30 page packet done within an hour. And the amount of summatives we get every single freaking week like i swear teachers are allergic to us being happy for once. Like, I get you want us to be smart, but the heavy expectations we are given come on, man, like stop, you wonder why kids compare school to prison or hell. Like for certain people with different needs, the loads of work can take a heavy toll on people's mental health. And drive them into s*****e, I don't think teachers can fully realize it until it's too late, like teachers think they are better than everyone, cause they are an A***T, doesn't mean teachers can boss students around like we aren't your maids like no im not cleaning up a mess I DIDN'T MAKE like clean it yourself man. And the weekends aren't really enough for a lot of us. We basically live at school and visit home. As soon as we get comfortable, we have to go back to school. For example, on Saturday, we have to work on missing assignments, and on Sunday, we have to get ready for school. Come on, let us rest, please. Like, the school districts are making us go to school at 7 am, like bro, I only got 5 hours of sleep, doing my missing assignments cause it was probably a 52-page history packet the crusty-looking teachers gave us, and now i don't have enough energy to do any work like i feel like school should start at 9 so we can sleep more and wake up properly like almost everyone in the morning looks like zombies that will probably resort to cannibalism if they get 1 more packet. Evidence explains, “An incredible number of students are either sleeping at their desks or they’re zoned out, in a fog,” she says. “They’re sitting there like a lump, not asking questions or raising their hands” (Ornes). Students are struggling and not getting enough sleep. Going to school at an earlier start time is causing students to not focus on school but rather sit there zoned out.
