Have you ever seen a more beautiful thing
Than the blues and greens of a magpie's wing
Or the colours you only see in the eye
Of a peacock's tail or a butterfly.
Have you ever seen a more beautiful sight
Than the milky-way on a moonless night
Or the sun as it dips beneath the horizon
Or the winter sky with Orion rising.
Have you ever seen a thing more golden
Than a puppy dog when it's eye's first open
Or maybe a new born lamb or foal
Finding it's feet just minutes old.
Have you ever seen a finer view
Than sunlight dancing on the ocean blue
Or a wakening hedgerow as spring begins
Or a sea of yellow blossomed whins.
To name each wonder that's on display
Would take forever and a day
But when I meet the one supreme
I'll thank Them for the sights I've seen.
